1.电镀系利用电流镀敷金属的过程。金属可镀在导体(如金属)或非导体(如塑料、木材、皮革)表面。对於非导体表面,要先用石墨、导电漆、化学镀处理,或经气相涂层处理,使形成导电层后,才能电镀。

2.一般性阳极处理
一般性阳极处理又可称为『装饰性阳极处理』,其阳极处理之膜厚约在6μ至15μ左右,其特性是可在铝材表面形成一层耐腐蚀的表面,并可依客户的喜好而选择亮面处理或者雾面处等等或其它颜色。
